It’s a story of grief, sorrow, and healing
This portfolio project was scheduled after a child was brutally and mortally harmed. Everyone was having a hard time dealing with it and the ensuing emotions. During one of the shoots a model kept asking me “can’t you make me pretty”… all the while her face told a different story. I realized then, the collective consciousness here was stressed, grieving and while trying to put their pretty faces forward, they, nor I could hide from these consuming emotions. That horrific event influenced these photos of emotional purity.
